Based on contractual obligations with the HZZO, county health institutions provide services to domestic and foreign tourists staying in Istria County. In the event of the need for urgent medical assistance, tourists exercise the right to health care under the same conditions as Croatian insured persons, provided that they have a valid European health insurance card (EKZO). Domestic tourists receive health care on the basis of a valid HZZO card. The leaflet contains information on the conditions and methods of providing health care for tourists.
